Product Description

Sodium tripolyphosphate (7758-29-4) properties

1. This product is white crystal or crystalline powder.
2. Soluble in water (about 13%).
3. It has the ability to complex alkali metals and heavy metal salts, and can soften hard water.
4.The pH of 4.1% aqueous solution is 9.5. With ion exchange properties, the suspension becomes a solution.
5. There are two kinds of anhydrous substance and hexahydrous substance, the critical point of anhydrous substance is 417ºC, the melting point is 622ºC, and it is molten sodium pyrophosphate.

Sodium Tripolyphosphate

  Sodium tripolyphosphate is used as a detergent additive, and can also be used in petroleum, metallurgy, mining, paper making, water treatment and so on. It is mainly used as an auxiliary for synthetic detergent, as a soap synergist and to prevent grease precipitation and frosting of bar soap. It has a strong emulsification effect on lubricating oil and fat, and can be used to adjust the PH value of buffer soap liquid. Softening agent for industrial water. Tanning agent. Dyeing AIDS. Paint, kaolin, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate and other industrial preparation of suspension as dispersant. Drilling mud dispersant. Paper industry used as oil repellent. Quality improver and moisture retention agent used in food industry for canned food, fruit juice drinks, dairy products, soy milk, etc. It is mainly used for tenderizing ham cans, softening bean skin in broad beans cans, and can also be used as softener and thickener.
