Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate, exists in various hydrate forms such as anhydrous, dihydrate and dodecahydrate. It is an inorganic compound with important applications in industries such as chemical engineering, food and medicine. The common disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate is a colorless to white crystal or crystalline powder, odorless, and prone to efflorescence in the air.

Disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate appears as a colorless and transparent monoclinic rhombic crystal with a density of approximately 1.52g/cm³. It partially loses its crystalline water at 35.1℃ and loses all its crystalline water when heated to 100℃, turning into an anhydrous substance. It is highly soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is weakly alkaline with a pH value of approximately 9.0-9.4. It is insoluble in ethanol. Disodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous is a white powder with strong hygroscopicity and is prone to absorbing moisture when exposed to air.
